XK8 2005 won't stay running
I have scan code P0607 and engine will start right up and then die after one second. Suggest PCM. Is the PCM and ECM the same and what is the part number. I reset by disconnecting the battery and reset the scanner and it now reads "no codes" but will still not run for more than a second

ECM and PCM are pretty much the same thing - Jaguar likes to change terminology every other day for the same part.
Attached is the code description - have you had a look at the Throttle Body before condemning the ECM? Any other symptoms or warnings displayed on message center?

Not a lot to go on with that code.
There is this: successful-re-program-flash-2005-xk8-ecu-190075/
Otherwise, try and check the gas pedal. Check the cable attachment to the sensor in the bin next to the brake booster. Take out excessive slack, or put a bit of slack if too tight. It is a simple "fork" setup that can be done quickly. Then Ignition ON, engine OFF, slowly press the gas pedal to the floor and back a few times to re-tech the ECU about the range.
Remove the big intake air pipe to expose the throttle plate. Again, ignition ON, engine OFF, see if the plate moves when you press the gas pedal.
Further, check the fuel pressure, available over OBDII or directly on the rail.
Check for any air leak. All the hoses to the heads and throttle body, including dip stick, etc. Remove and clean the air flow meter. Try with the air flow meter disconnected. Check all the fuses, too.
Best of luck, keep us posted.
