I have been looking at buying a XK8 coupe and they made so many colors from 97 and up... and then when Googling the colors they are not accurate.... is there a thread that shows all the color names with pictures of the actual cars?

 

I am especially interested in reds and blues at this time...

 

Or if you guys can help with naming the colors of these cars?

Notoriously difficult to get an accurate representation of a colour shade in print and even worse on screen.

I'm partial to reds, myself. The red XK's in those pictures is Carnival Red, my personal favorite. It fits so nicely into my "Red" collection...1958 Red Corvette, 1972 Red de Tomaso Pantera, 1978 Burgundy Red Datsun 280z, 2002 Carnival Red Jaguar XKR.

Like all things Jaguar/British, paint code lists do vary. My deep blue '01 (JHM) is listed as both Pacific Metallic and Lazurite Metallic depending on whose list you use.

Either color group will look great given the right match on interior trim. I love the Salsa Red with the Caramel trim. Blues look good with Ivory and Sand, IMHO.

 

British Racing Green (or Jaguar Racing Green if you like metallic) is all you need to know

Roman Bronze or one of the blacks look pretty good too.
