Steve,

Do the headlights, bumper and hood come with it? That seems a little high.

Hi Gus,
Got the original convertion wrong. more like $1800. I have been assured that everything that neads to be done. Will be done. The engine only has 45,000 miles on it. A bit early for head gaskets in my opinion. But have bubbles coming through the cooling system. Any idea's ? or advice.

Thanks for quick responce

Steve

Steve

I misread your post I thought it said headlight not head gasket. I would imagine this would be expensive did he say why with such low mileage?

Have you had overheating problems? Replaced water pump and or thermostat? If not, is that included in the head gasket repair? Reading posts from professionals there is little simple about replacing head gaskets because of the potential for other damage.

that's more like $2200 with the current exchange rate but its just 1500 units of currency where you live so its the same as $1500 for someone living in the US. either way it sounds cheap to me for all that work.

Hi Guy's
Thanks for input. At first I thought it was A over heating problem. The upper radiator hose blew. After replacing, I found other leeks in cooling system. I was advised to Start engine from cold with cooant system full and open. Was told to watch for bubbles rising when engine gets to running tempreture. Apparently The bubbles indicate Exaust gasses escaping into cooling system. Looks like I will have to bite the bullet.

Thanks again

Steve

If you are getting bubbles in the coolant with the engine running, get the gaskets changed quick, and I would not drive the car anymore. If exhaust can get into the coolant, coolant can get back into the cylinders and the oil. Don't wait, enough coolant in the oil can wipe out your bearings and you could lose the engine. The price you got quoted is a good one, go...go..go.
