XK8 Instrument Cluster - Bty-Clock-Oil
The Dials for Battery State... Clock... Oil Pressure.
On later models these dials have been removed and the area is a GPS Unit Screen....
Presumably this screen is also a Radio and has other functions...
My question.... if these three dials are removed... what is used to then show the information for Battery State..... and Oil Pressure.... (middle 'clock' would be on the GPS)???

All functions on the "NAV" models can be displayed on the NAV screen. Since the Nav is no longer supported with updates from Jag, find replacement dash parts, and convert to the 3 gauge cluster from "Real Gauge". The stock Jag gauges are really just "Idiot Lights" with needles. Only show the max/minimum values(several discussions about this on previous forum threads).
There are several options including a Garmin gauge in place of the Jag nav window. Check threads on this forum for idea.
I went to eBay to find replacement dash parts, and got gauges. All for about $500USD(including some labor from my local mech that could have been saved).
Several here have made the conversion, and can assist with suggestions. I mounted a 7" Garmin unit that also includes a backup camera and blue tooth functions.

For my conversion, I went to eBay and found a full 3 piece dash in the style/colour I wanted(walnut, 3 gauge center piece). Then made the conversion. The only problems arose from the center airbag. It must be removed very carefully and replaced to have proper protection. Not to bad, just work slowly.

It takes patience and a bit of luck, but nice used full sets come up regularly on eBay, often at very reasonable prices. Examine the photos closely and request more if needed. Look for a money back guarantee.

It is the member magazine if you join Jaguar Clubs of North America or a local branch.
