Default XK8 Radio

hi, can anyone tell me if there is a radio socket at the back of the Radio in the 2003 XK8 so I can connect the ISFM2381 hands free bluetooth kit?
Thanks Mike

Mike, while there are ways to connect bluetooth in line, I use the Jagcd-HF from discount stereo, there is no port waiting on the back of the alpine head unit sorry.

I do know that later models radios offer bluetooth pairing, but I'll stop there since your looking for the mechanical connection.
FWIW, there is a connection under the arm rest radio to/from cd player that the above mentioned unit I have shares, but unless yours is designed for this, boy you'd be lucky to get it to work.
One of the members wrote about soldering in an rca connection on the radio, think it replaced cassette, but for the $130 or so a unit like the ones at discount stereo, it might not be worth it.
hope this helps

John

He's talking about an old school banana plug type aerial socket on the back of the head unit.

Thanks Dibbit! I read radio socket as spare socket on the radio.
In that case Mike, you can easily reach the antenna connection without removing the radio. The carpet is just stuffed in place where the center console meets the dashboard in the footwell. Just reach in, you'll feel the antenna connection.

Thanks guys, that means I can do all the connections in the same place.
Think I'll remove the centre console from the jgate, and then access all the wires from there.
Cheers, Mike

Default Back of my donor car’s radio head unit

Not sure if this helps, but here’s a pic of the back of my scrap donor car’s head unit.

+1 to John. Accessible from the LHD behind carpet’s front passenger footwell.
