Default XK8 Toe in requirements

I'm about to change the Track Rod Ends on my 2003 XK8 Convertible. I've looked at the Jagrepair site and haven't found what I'm looking for. I'm hoping someone can direct me to this information.
Looking forward to your responses..

Years ago, Jaguar master tech "Brutal" stated here on the forum that toe set to .12 is normal for our 4.2 XK8s, but he often saw excessive inner-edge tire wear when the toe was set to .12. He preferred .16. I tried .16 on my previous set of tires, but that caused excessive outer-edge tire wear on both front tires. So when I installed new tires in mid-January 2022, I opted to set the toe at .12. I only have a little over 2,000 miles on the new tires now but thus far the tread is not showing any signs of improper wear. Front tires are 245/40/19 and rear tires are 255/40/19....

Hello Jon,
Just curious: Did you used a presser bar @.12"?
I have Brutal's .16 reccommendation in my notes. I have been using a presser bar at .16". I think Brutal reccommended using a presser bar at the time of his post (someone correct me if I am wrong).
I do mine the hard way in my garage and actually trig out the equivalent angles and data for digital indicator readings.
I just went out and checked both front tire inner and outer tread depths with my tread gage. I did not visually see any variations (<0.020") in any of my readings.

Gene,

I get my alignments done at a well-respected, long-time-in-business local tire shop. I did not think to ask them exactly how they did my January 2022 alignment on this car after I specified that I wanted .12 toe settings this time. Next time I go there, I will ask. Glad to hear that your current toe settings are doing well for you....

I just checked my records to see when I last did mine. ....wow ....July 2017..... time flies! Regardless of methods, as I've said before, "it's hard to argue with success."

I'm in the UK, could you please confirm that you are saying 0.12 of 1 inch toe in, this means the wheels pointing inwards? By 0.12"?
Thank you 👍

Speaking for myself, the short answer is "yes". As, I mentioned earlier, I use angles and conversions. I am not where I can look it up right now but I will try to find those specs this weekend.

Here is a link to the pdf specs that Gus made (see page 83):

Also I came across these calculators that really save having to trig it all out and measure / "mess with" tire diameters:
https://robrobinette.com/tire_diameter.htm
