Default XK8 won't start. Security Locking Module fault

Hi all.
Time to get the old girl (2001 XK8) out of hibernation and ready for the MOT.
All was well until I stopped the engine and when I came to start it again it ran for a second then stopped , it's been like that ever since. The iCarsoft tells me : Instrument Pack fault-Security Locking Module fault and Current, Ignition state not obtained, What does this all mean? other than my MOT had to be canceled. The only other items were Head restraint faults.
Any ideas and advice most welcome.
Thanks
Pete

Good point Jimmy and I've been caught out with it before but I don't think it is, last time there was a definite lack of compression and it did eventually go. Also wondering about all the faults. Anyway I've put the battery on charge and now I'm going to lie in a darkened room and listen to some Jimi Hendrix.

Could be a dead fuel pump. They tend to die in the 4.0 cars that sit for long periods of time. Gotta exercise these cars on a regular basis to keep them happy and healthy....

Latest update:
I've got 1.5 ohms at the fuel pump, from the relay and a live to the other side of the relay. If I link the 2 together there's a small current draw, about half an amp but I can't hear the pump running. My hearing isn't what it once was but I would've thought I'd hear something. I'm sure I hear it in the car when I switch the ignition on but maybe I'm confusing it with another car. After fiddling about with the above the rail in the engine compartment was bone dry. not even a whiff of fuel. Even though I'm getting a healthy resistance might the pump still be goosed?
On the coil side of the relay I have a switched live to one side that is live when the ignition is switched on but no earth to the other side. Maybe it only gets an earth when the engine is turning?
Any thoughts?

Latest update. for anyone that's interested.
New pump saved the day and all is well now. No idea why I got all the strange messages but they've gone so happy days.. The tank is awkward to get in place and the 2 pipes underneath are unbelievable.. Hope I don't have to do it again.

Glad you fixed it. Now, drive the car regularly to keep it exercised and you probably will not have to do that job again....
