Hi,
Thank you so much for your reply!

Unfortunately, the option "EU Central" is not available in the list of time zones. The list starts with "CET", then "GMT", etc.

Could it be that the seller uppgraded to another version of the navi system? He mentioned that the maps were updated to the latest and language set to Swedish...

I should go and check the version.

It's possible the seller installed an "unofficial" upgrade.

As the option EU Central is not available then CET is possibly the equivalent where the abbreviation stands for Central European Time.

I never had problems changing the time zone on my 2005 XK8 when travelling across mainland Europe but I had the benefit of the three gauges and not the nav screen.

Thanks again.

OK, I will try to use CET instead. Fingers crossed

Hi
I just wanted to let you know that changing to CET adjusted the problem. Perfect!

Thank you very much for your help!

, Hi guys, just skimming thru all this great information, I am trying to find info on the telephone buttons on my 2006 XK8. I have an owner's manual I picked up on eBay. It has pictures of the telephone buttons on the steering wheel and on the center console but no mention of how to use it in the text. Is this for 'Bluetooth' capability, or if an auxiliary phone is added. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thx.

Default 2005 Alpine manual?

Hi
The Alpine manual doesn't seem to be on the list. Is it somewhere else in the forum? We have a 2005 XKR with the Alpine system.

YES – there wasn’t a separate handbook for the premium (Alpine) system. I had a 2005 XK8 4.2-S Final Series fitted with the Alpine option and it was still this version of handbook that was supplied with the vehicle.

For anyone interested, I have an extra set of manuals that I purchased for my '06. I converted the NAV system to 3 gauge, so no longer need the NAV manual. The books are in a slightly used, green leather case. If you will PM me I will send pix, precise description, and work out a reasonable price for these books.
I had gotten these, and later found a better set. No longer need 2 sets of manuals.

Do you need to create a mediafire account to download the manuals? I'm always leery about downloading new programs

You shouldn't need to. Let me know if the link doesn't let you download directly without any sign-up..

Good luck Dan.

There's plenty of threads on timing chain replacement but if you do get stuck, just start a new thread in X100 for advice from the many members who have already done this job.
