XK8's Older Cousin...
Indulge me as I am the happy recipient of my late mother's 1971 MGB. My Dad rebuilt it for her 14 years ago and my brother, the intermediate owner, brought her up to a daily driver status and generously gave her to me, knowing she would be well taken care of.
No, she is not a Jag, but she will be a proud resident of my garage next to my Coupe. Heritage and history on many levels makes me very happy and I wanted to share with those who will appreciate the connection.
And...as a life-long sailor, it makes me smile that they are red and green in color...as in port and starboard.
Pretty cool.

Congratulations - I too have a MGB roadster - 1973, owned by me since 1976 - it's a piece of furniture now, never to be sold.Great simple motoring and great fun to drive.Unfortunately mine lives in the UK so when I'm in Florida I don't get to use it.
David,
A great combination of two classic British marques.
I owned both an MGB and an MGB GT in my younger days and have driven a number since then. They continue to be maintained and run in large numbers by enthusiasts simply because they are such fun to drive.
The ‘B’ looks to be in excellent condition. A credit to your father and brother’s efforts and a treasured link with your late mother.
I hope you continue to enjoy it for many years to come.

Good for you :-)
I drove MGs (Midget and MGB/GT) for years. Loved those little cars. Hope to own another some day.
Cheers

Nice MG. I have a soft spot in my heart for these cars. I owned a "67 MGB with a Weslake racing head when I was 17---got me in lots of trouble along with girls and usually at the same time.
