XKR Excessive current draw

XKR Excessive current draw
Hi everyone,
New to this site and looking for a little help.
I have a 2004 XKR coupe that is pulling down the battery with a current draw that we are having trouble finding.
The current draw should be 30 ma with everything turned off, however the actual draw is 200 ma which is killing the battery in no time.
I have tried a couple of service agents here in New Zealand (including the official NZ agents) but they have not been able to identify what is causing the problem. I currently have the car in the hands of a recommended auto electrician who has confirmed the above measurements and also that the current draw continues at 200ma even with every fuse removed from the vehicle. He is about to start stripping out the dash etc to get to the wiring for further testing.
Anyone seen an issue like this before or have any idea where we should be starting to look now?
I have owned the car for three years and initially it would flatten the battery to the point of not starting in 7 or 8 days. After 12 months I replaced the original battery but 12 months later was still experiencing the same level of discharge so have been using a battery charger to keep the battery up during periods of no use. The situation has now deteriorated to the point where the battery charger needs to be connected every night or the car won't start the next day, and it is doing my head in.
Absolutely love the car and need to get this issue resolved, preferably without disassembling the whole wiring loom!
Thanks in advance!

Yes, locked, and as you say after 40 mins the draw drops to 30ma but with in 2 hours it has increased to 200ma.
Sorry if there are other threads, did a search and checked the last half dozen pages of threads in this forum.

Obviously somethings waking up that shouldn't be.I don't see how that could be a harness fault if the drain drops to the correct value then goes up.
I've not heard of this fault
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...rain-xk8-6985/
before but it wouldn't hurt to turn the wipers off 'Auto' if they are on it.
I know it's a bit like the computer support line but have you tried a hard reset JIC?
If not the JTIS advice is to use a clamp type ammeter on the various feed lines rather than pulling fuses.
BTW our American cousins will be waking up soon (terribly late risers) and , assuming they've got some power since most of the US seems to be suffering a Lucas moment, they'll almost certainly have something useful to say.

Most odd.
A hard reset can't hurt JIC a module has got its head on backwards.

9 am Sunday morning here now, so will pass these suggestions on to the auto electrician tomorrow morning, he has the car at the moment so can't check them out myself. I ned to check with him that it is still exhibiting the drop to 30 ma then increase to 200 ma after a couple of hours as this was the report from the previous tech who tried to diagnose it.
As I said before, all suggestions greatfully accepted, been without the car for 4 days now and .... well..... I miss her!
