Well it seems I have an supercharger outlet duct seal with a severe vacuum leak! Looks like one of the seal has been sucked into the outlet!
Here is my question.....the only seals available are the NEW revised seals as per TSB 303-57 These seal seem to require the use of the NEW clamping plates (AJ86926 27 and 28) which are no longer available...actually AJ86926 still exists but the 2 other plates both left and right dont!
So, what do I do? Can I use the old clamping plate on the new duct seals? If not what the hell do I do???
THANKS

avdflyer,
You could try the old plates but the TSB specifically states using the new ones (AJ86927 and AJ86928). I expect the new plates have a ridge profle that better clamps the seal against the Intercooler flange - but I cannot prove this and can't find images of their clamp face.

Thanks for the response but I have already contacted Dave via email and he told me that the clamping plates are no longer available even though he shows this on his website! I have asked him if we can use the old clamping plates but have not heard back from him yet. I agree that the new plates have some sort of profile that helps hold the seal better....does ANYONE have a good photo of the new plates vs the old one are have knowledge of the differences between the old and new?
