Default ZF 4HP24 paddle shift

Has anybody ever fitted a Compushift system into their XK?
or any other system that would allow for a flappy paddle shift option?

I am interested in adapting my 1999 4L XK to take a manual shift input.
Just interested to know if it's been done already?

TIA

Blue

I thought the pre-2003MY XKs all used Mercedes transmissions, not ZF transmissions?

Pre-2003 XK8 used the ZF 5 speed auto. XKR's used the Mercedes trans. 2003-up uses the ZF 6 speed.

I did not know that. I have a 2002 XKR, which has the Mercedes transmission and thought the XK8s has the same transmission.

I have the Racing Green Cars Speedshift in the US. The system allows me to control the gear changes via buttons on the back of the steering wheel.

You should call & speak with Keith in the Performance dept. he was very helpful with me. I just am not sure if they will sell another one without them doin the install.

Maybe this is something to add to the Jag Wrangler product request. The J shifter is essentially sending commands to the transmission when you shift and it stands to reason you could do something similar with a wheel mounted control.

Devil is in the details though...
