Default Hello Jaguar Owners

Hello Evryone:

I just joined the forum last night and wanted to say hello. I am the proud owner of a (new to me) 1999 Jaguar XJR. British Racing Green with 82,000 miles. I am a true car guy and have always wanted to own a nice Jaguar, and I love the look of the XJR. I also have a 1991 Mercedes 500 SL and an all original 1972 Camaro Rally Sport as toys.

This forum is proving to be a huge help to me as I sort thru a few minor issues with car. I hope to become knowledgeable enough to be of help to others one day.

I reside in Alpharetta, GA and plan to join the North GA Jaguar Club soon, so I can meet other local owners.

Anyway, I wanted to say hello and look forward to being a part of this great group.

Regards, Brian

Welcome. I've got a 69 Corvette and a Toyota Supra for weekend toys. I bought an XJ8 a few years ago when recovering from back surgery I got to where I could only endure short drives on carefully chosen roads in my sports cars and my pickup truck was murder. It was only supposed to be a short term solution, but I must've grown up or something because now I really love the Jag as much as anything. Only problem is that being a daily driver, having to park outside at work, all the plastic rubber and vinyl are starting to disintegrate and unlike the Corvette, nobody makes replacement parts. Keep it out of the sun.
