resonator removal

Go pull the plug on the sensor to the gauge and see if it comes off full hot. If it does then it's the sensor grounding out and will require a new one. They are pretty inexpensive.

Just wondering, both of you have US spec cars. So, don't you have 2 sets of cat's (downpipes and then under the seats)and then resonators at the rear. I had started another thread and am looking at removing all cats and just having pipes from the headers down and resonators on the rear.

Wow I did not know there were 4 cats on the us xj6 hmmmm. might just take the other two off (down pipe). As right now I am running those, dual pipe out the sides in front of the rear wheels with 18'' glasspacks. I used to have it un-muffled under the seats but it was a bit annoying however very race-ish .

Hmm that doesn't seem right, I mean If you're running full exhaust why should it matter? Guess it kinda depends on who's inspecting it most in MD aren't very nice!!!
