Paying homage to the original Range Rover, limited production SV Coupe celebrates the 70th anniversary of Land Rover.

Today, Land Rover announced the introduction of an all-new limited edition model to its lineup, the full-size luxury Range Rover SV Coupe. Limited to 999 units in all, the Range Rover SV Coupe will be offered to buyers worldwide. Each will be hand-assembled by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations in Warwickshire, UK.

The Range Rover SV Coupe will be a dramatic and desirable addition to the Range Rover model portfolio. The brand promises a seductive body design and a supremely refined interior. Gerry McGovern, Land Rover Chief Design Officer was quoted as saying:

“The Range Rover SV Coupe is a highly compelling design with peerless refinement and uncompromised sophistication from its breathtaking exterior proportions to its sumptuous, beautifully appointed, interior. This is a vehicle that will resonate on an emotional level.”

Only one teaser image has been released by the brand. Shown above, the interior does appear to be a step above the already high quality offerings from Land Rover.

John Edwards, Land Rover Special Operations Managing Director, a man who we recently interviewed, also had a few things to say:

“Land Rover created the luxury SUV sector with Range Rover almost 50 years ago. In launching the new Range Rover SV Coupe, we will offer clients an alluring combination of peerless luxury and rarity.”

The Land Rover Range Rover SV Coupe will be unveiled at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show on March 6. For those unable to attend, Land Rover will be showing a live broadcast at 11:45 CET on www.landroverusa.com. The Range Rover SV Coupe comes right around the 50th anniversary of the Range Rover name. Its launch also falls right at Land Rover’s 70th anniversary. Think of the RR SV Coupe as a present to Land Rover, from Land Rover. More details as they drop can be found here on Jaguarforums.com.
