This picture of a burned out Series II was on the BBCNews website on Sunday 10th November 2019. It was caught up the the Sydney bush fires.
A sad end to the Jaguar but I'm sure the owner has a lot more to worry about right now. According to the article, everyone in this area escaped the fire unhurt but many have lost everything and three people have died across the State.
I hope NSW members and their families are safe and avoiding the devastation.
Interesting Clarke as no fires at Wisemans Ferry that I’ve heard of. Maybe because the focus is in the North Coast. Or maybe the car was the fire?
The one Graham posted was near Taree.

Today Wisemans Ferry crews WFY9 & WFY1 responded to grass alight in Mill Creek.
The Vintage vehicle was being driven across the grass when the driver notice smoke. A piece of grass had caught alight on the exhaust pipe and burnt through the fuel line. Thankfully the owner used fire extinguishers and their own hose system to put out the fast running grass fire. Unfortunately the car was not able to be saved.
This is just another example of the tough, dry conditions that we are faced with over the coming days. Now is the time to review your Bush fire safety plan.
Possibly on private property near Wisemans Ferry. The above quote is all I find now.
I was evacuated 2 days ago and spent a night at my daughter's house in town. She spent that night sleeping on the beach at Lake Conjola, and is now still down there, but safe. Last night they let us go back home and, to our relief, our house was still standing. We took 2 cars - 1, the Jag, of course, and the other, my wife's Mazda 3. I left 2 other vehicles (a camper and a Toyota 4WD) home and they are good too. We were lucky and, sadly, others were not. The fire could return on Saturday. Who knows? Thanks for the concern.
Have a great New Year, everybody, and I hope all your Pussycats, homes, family and friends get through all this without loss.
Wow some nice old cars and such a shame they were damaged, but your life is more important so as much as loosing a nice old car is not nice, your life will carry on to be able to recover from the worst fires I have seen in all my 65 years on this earth.I wish all those affected by the fires all the best for the future and may that be nothing but bright and full of happiness.
