George and Anne from our local club will tag along again. Not sure if they will have the XJ6 as its in need of a head gasket at the moment. They sold their XJ40 to another club member who is off grey nomading for the winter (not in the Jag).
So starting list to date is:
Steve and Sandra
Mike and Sofie
Tony and June
George and Anne
So, Sandy and I took one for the team today and had lunch at the Pyalong Pub. The pub changed hands a year ago and we have heard some good reviews for it. All seemed good from a food, drink , facilities point of view so we have booked lunch for 8 people, 12-12:30 , Saturday September 21.
Feel free to head straight to the venue or alternatively meet up with us in Yea at 10:30 for coffee and we will take you cross country to Pyalong.
Let me know if you are coming to Yea so I can book a table. The place is the Yea Emporium, at the Seymour end of Yea, a couple of doors up from the Liberty service station. Its a spacious cafe with nice coffee.
Some pics below of Pyalong (its rustic, funky in a South Melbourne kind of way if that makes any sense). Menu is basic pub grub but seemed good quality.
Both venues booked for 10 people. They are looking forward to seeing us and separating us from our money.
New Mike and Edith, the table is booked under Steve, I will be the big bloke wearing a ghastly sky blue name tag from my local car club. I am easy to spot :-)
Been a busy couple of weeks, my partner has had a health scare, emergency surgery and now home nursing unfortunately, we can't make the run. The XJS is ready and we will make the next one all things going well. Have a great drive, we'll be there in spirit.
