I have a problem with Dipped Headlights. Main Jaguar garage says "you have defective C2C37201 ECU module, this item is no longer available and now obsolete, so we cannot repair the Lights for you. You should not drive the car on Public Roads without availability of Lights". Charged £ 160.00 for looking and reporting, "Free"Coffee was ok !
Any ideas how to overcome problem, do not need all the "automation, extended on etc", all other lights work. Thinking of linking "fog Light activation switch for "dipped lights" and remove "fog light fuse", never use front fog lights. The car has separate Main Beam and Dipped Headlight Lamps.

Hi there
so yours is a 2007 xj6 tdvi is that correct
x350 is from 2003 till / x356 2006 same design but without side protection strips on the doors and electric and electronic upgrades/ x358 the design with the thicker bumpers looking sporty.
x350 had auto dipping on the headlights . This is what I have but does not work anymore. But with working air suspension that does not matter since selfregulating height of the car even pulling a camper or heavy load in the trunk/boot.
At some point the xj's did not even have those auto dip headlights anymore since unnecessary.
But you can regulate the headlight position like any other car over screws on top .
you would need to do that if you are riding on coilovers instead of air suspension

Hi,
Yes, mines a 2007 model, does not have "automatic dip" facility, thank goodness. Cannot get replacement ECU unit as now obsolete no help from Jaguar Main Dealership, on my own. Downloaded Electric Wiring diagram. It seems I have two possible cures 1:- Link, in "Front Power Distribution Fuse Box" from Fuse F15 (front fog lamps) to Fuses F10 &F13 (Dipped headlights) and remove Fuse F15, then the "front Fog Lamps switch" will operate the "dipped main headlights with no Front Fog Lamps (never used them) or 2:- Fit link from EC36( "Front Electronic Module) pin15 to IP7("Instrument Cluster) pin 13, then Column Switch should operate Dips, without "auto" facility or delayed off facility, only problem, to find route for Link Wire!
Anybody had similar problem or cure?
