Hello.

I am trying to sort out a few parts that I came upon. I was able to confirm many were for an E-Type, so suspect the one shown in the photo is also. As you can see it is about 3/4 inch long and has about a 1/4 inch diameter hole (smooth/no threads) thru the top of the "T". It is made out of brass and chrome plated.

Anyone out there who knows what it might be?

You do not say what year your E is but if a 1967 or earlier it might be the rear view mirror mounting boss.--Goes on the support rod.

 

I looked on the Welsh web site in there parts catalog and think you are correct!
