Default 2017 F-Pace U0073 Code

Hello I need some advice. It all started when i decided to change my cabin air filter. I took out the glove box got to the filter and replaced it.

Next day my check engine comes on i scanned it and get P0171 system running to lean. Not sure if it has anything to do with that I decided to make sure I seated everything properly. After that I decided to erase the check engine code to see if it would go away. However i decided to use my other scanner a Autel Maxidas. I ran the check engine and tried to erase codes it erased the code but the the car wouldn't start and stated the transmission is not in park. Ok so I removed and reconnected the negative battery terminal to see if that would help. Sure enough it helped the car started but now it was shaky which it wasnt before. I scanned to check if another code had popped up and now i have code U0073 Control Module Communication Bus “A” Off. I am not sure what the scan tool did any ideas of thoughts on how to fix this?

Assuming everything was OK before changing the cabin filter then two likely causes are:
1. run the battery down during the process - a regular for causing weird electrical/electronic issues with recent Jaguar models
OR
2. disturbed inlet trunking (allowing an air leak and therefore weak mixture) or sensor connection

I think you've gone a bit over the top with the diagnostics. Once you'd read P0171, the best action was simply to clear it, drive the vehicle and see if it returned. If not, it's just been an out-of-range reading setting the code and the CEL. If it comes back then there's definitely an issue.

Disconnecting the battery effectively causes a 'hard reset' and returns learned adaptions such as fuel trims to factory default. It will take some 'normal' driving for these to re-adapt. However your description 'shaky' suggests uneven running due to incorrect fuel trims. Back to (2) above ......

If you're having the same issues, post your car info and specific codes, the good folks here will help where we can.

Most P0171 codes are air leaks in the intake system under vacuum, post MAF. There are several common areas but it matters which engine and vehicle. Any recent work done? Any other symptoms or just the light? Was it scanned with a real scanner? There's often good info there using a proper scan tool over a basic code reader.

Car runs fine. No codes at all. I have taken it to 3 inspection stations and each time they hook up their equipment they get u0073 codes. I font get the code on my own after zi clear it.

Was wondering how the original poster cleared his issue or of any others have encountered this.

Thanks

Bus off codes just mean there's some data on the network that caused the module to reset it usually, probably related to the scanner the station is using. I would ignore it, it shouldn't do anything.
