Do you mind letting me know what VIN range you were in so I can know if anyone has been able to get this taken care of outside of that TSB vin range? I really appreciate you taking time our to reply to my posts multiple years after you've had your car fixed.
My vin is in the k32400. Do you have a convertible or a coupe? The TSB that fixed mine came out in Nov/Dec of 2016. I had it fixed in the spring two years ago. The following spring I replaced the door speakers and the dual center speaker in the front with upgraded oem speakers. I now enjoy the sound. There still is the occasional buzz from the subwoofers, but mostly on radio and bad music productions.

With regard to responding to your posts. I can't tell you the number of people on this forum that have helped me and others; unhinged, cambo, ozxfr, nati, DJS, Paul (Uk) and many, many, many others. It is a great community.

Is the TSB from nov/dec 2016 different than the previous one listed with essentially the foam kit install? Any chance you have the info about that TSB? I’ve been talking to JLR customer service, however it’s always best to have the info to give them.

Also so if you could; could you give me more info about the upgraded OEM speakers and the process of how you acquired them/who or how they were installed? It’s a great community and really helpful. Once I hopefully get this solved; I will definitely post an update to help out as many other people with this issue as I can.

The TSB that fixed mine was after the foam kit. That was already done on my car from factory (or so I was told). I need to find the Stereo upgrade planning thread (or you can search for it). I have to get to work this am, but all the info is in there. I or someone else may be able to tag the software upgrade TSB. If no answer before evening, I'll do a search.

Found it quick:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...-146775/page2/

Read all the way through, as there a couple of options. I bought some Landrover and some Jag speakers. Others did all LR or all Jag as I recall. The sound mat also helped and some installed inside the door panel and some in the door panel. I am sure you may have other questions. TSB find may be in that thread also.

I excerpted the following TSB from the "Stereo Finally fixed Thread" posted by another member, I believe mine was fixed under this TSB as were many others. I don't know if some later TSB's were issued on this problem.

My dealer applied the "JTB00537NAS2" fix yesterday.

Good luck.

Do TSB fixes only get done for cars that are still under JLR warranty or do they have to fix it anyway as it's basically an admission of a fault?

TSBs are Technical Service Bulletins. They are published in order to reduce troubleshooting time.

Most TSBs are billable after the warranty expires. This applies even if the 'fix' is a factory software/firmware update.

Oh well. It doesn't rattle *much* and I prefer listening to the exhaust anyway :-) I might get brave enough to take the door cards off at some point and DIY it.

Thanks!

If you want to DIY after getting the dealer's quote, YouTube is your friend.

Several how-to's come up with this search:
jaguar f-type rattle sound from doors

Here's one I bookmarked for a rainy day:

Just left the dealer. My 2016 VIN is one of the listed ones on the TSB posted on here. Complained about the rattles from the sound system and have factory warranty until May 2020 and CPO until 2021. Was told by service manager that issue was considered an “adjustment” and had to be taken care of by the first 12,000 miles (Mine has 24,000). Going to drop it off next week for the window scratches and possible supercharger rattle fix, and he stated he would “look into” the stereo rattles.

Anyone else experience this?

Good luck. I had this done on my F-Type and it got better, but they also replaced the subwoofer which they considered blown. I spent 7 hours at the dealer, and the rattle returned fairly quickly. I think I had a new tech. New owner has this to figure out

Thanks...more annoyed they are saying it had to be done within the first 12,000 miles as an adjustment and not a warranty defect.

Dealer is still refusing. Opened a case with Jaguar customer service. Very disappointing.

I've just called my dealer regarding this, £92 fee for diagnosis.

My issue seems somewhat different to others however, it's the driver's side tweeter that is rattling, everything else seems to be OK. Has anyone had this?
