Default 1st Weekend With Car`

I know I'm preaching to the choir for those with cars already, this is for those on the fence.

This. Car. Is. Awesome.

I love this thing. You will NOT find a car with the capabilities that this vehicle has, WITH all of the creature comforts that come with it, for the price it is. I have gotten more stares in this car, more thumbs up, more honks, more waves, more pictures, more people approaching my car in one weekend, then I ever did in two years with my XJL. Hands down.

I find myself looking for reasons to go run errands just so I can drive it.

Was watching the FSU v Miami game Saturday night at a restaurant with a buddy. My wife messages me to tell me she was late for something and needed to get cookies at the store and was stressed she would be late...

...no problem. I left the bar, drove to Publix, got cookies, drove them home and made it back to the bar before 3rd quarter (I do not drink FYI).

Yesterday morning, I went to Starbucks... twice... just so I could drive with the top down. Do you know what two Venti coffees does to you before 9am without having eaten yet?

I could go on and on.

I know there are cars that are higher performance that would smoke my car on the track... but I don't care about that. Why would anyone? If you bought this car to race, you are one in one hundred, not the norm and are an outlier and not who this car is marketed to.

I have never seen my wife smile like she does when I down shift, pass someone, or get up to speed... she loves it.

All in all, I am extremely happy with this car. It's awesome. There are one or two VERY minor things that need to be fixed... but I'll address it all at once. Nothing that would cause me to dislike this vehicle.

I'm having it tinted at noon and having the new Escort MAX radar detector hardwired today... I'll take some pics afterwards and let those that care, know how the radar was installed if you're curious.

If you're on the fence. Get off of it.

Default Couldnt agree more

I have had mine for 2 weeks now and have experienced the same. I went to a coffee and cruise in this weekend and people were passing up the Yellow Farriri to take snap shops of my F-Type. I had 2 teenagers knock on my door saturday night and ask "Is that an F-Type"? I was shocked that they knew what it was and that I had left it in the driveway. These boys were so facinated by this car that they talked my ear off for 1 hour about it. I have owned many different cars and have experienced all the thumbs up and looks as you have. It is such an impressive car! Let me know how the tint works out? i am trying to do the same

Congratulations on your new car! My wife and I have had our F-Type for almost 5 months now. We also have had some minor problems which have been corrected. Like you, we love driving the car and the attention it gets.

On Saturdays we usually have lunch at a restaurant with outside seating where we can see the car. We love to watch people turning their heads to take a second look as they walk by. Some stop to look inside and then walk around the car. This never gets old.

What can I say except: +1 (to all of it -- awesomeness, minor issues that can be corrected, stares, interest, ...)

You've got me on the floor. I know the feeling. Congratulations and enjoy the ride.

Photographic evidence from today's coffee and cruise:

1st Weekend With Car`-img_0319.jpg

Screaming yellow Ferrari Italia 458, my satellite grey V8S and billydjen's ultimate black V6S. Where are the people (it was cold and grey today)? Gathered round the F-types!

I am having an absolute blast with this car, and I have no fixes required!

Default Escort installation

How did the escort installation come out? Thinking of putting one in my f-type here in florida. Can you recommend the installer?

Yes, it is quite that way every Saturday. The F-Types definetly have been stealing the show.

3 weeks and I still smile every time I drive it. First car to last that long with a huge smile on my face. I have owned quite a bit of cars. Aston, Lotus, Bentley etc. Huge attention getter! More attention then anything I have ever driven.
