I am thinking of another possibility. Given all the noise restrictions on cars in the UK I am wondering if Northern American F-Types simply do not have the quiet start feature.

 

That’s a good thought for sure I’d say.

 

Quiet start is definitely not the default for my MY18, nor is there a Vehicle Setting to change it. That may have changed for the newer facelift models.

 

Yep, I'm pretty sure that the quiet start was introduced with the 2nd facelift cars. Between the 1st and 2nd facelifts we also had the introduction of the petrol particulate filter on some markets which I guess may have quietened things a little bit.
