Default 2021+ rear parking light problem

The rear parking lights have two sets of LED's

My left hand TOP row of LED's is dead.

I expected to just pop the cover off and find a loose connection, but this appears to be MAJOR SURGERY.

Still under basic warranty, but would like to avoid a 2 hour round trip to the dealership.

Anyone else been down this road?

BEST !

My car had a similar but different problem with my taillights. The LEDs were a little too excited all the time. Unfortunately I had to go to the dealer. They ordered at least a new taillight, perhaps some kind of wiring harness too. They’ve had the car for 5 days so far so hopefully the end is near.

I wonder if this is going to be the start of another "my left-side LEDs are dead" series of problems, as we have seen with the DRL on the pre-MY21 LED front headlamps. I should probably go and check mine at some point (though it sailed through the service and UK MOT test in March)

That would certainly be interesting. I heard that the headlights for MY18-20 had a problem of either being too dim on one side or just flat dying on a whim. I'd definitely be intrigued to see if any other MY21's have this issue. I got nervous because this issue popped up as I was literally on the way home from buying the car lol it's sometimes comforting to know (in a cynical kind of way) that others are seeing the same issue.

Hopefully (crossing my fingers like mad here!) your two cars are the only ones, especially given that I also have a facelift car with the newer design rear lights. I have no doubt that should you ask your Jaguar dealer, you will be met with the response "Your car is the only one we've come across with this problem Sir"

At least they aren’t holding your car hostage until the parts come in like they are mine 🙄 what happened to dealers having loaners?
