60K Maintenance
The first time the battery drained happened when I had my car inspected [by NJ] and left it sitting for a few days so I guess they do not do a proper disconnect.
Not that I haven't monitored the Warning Triangle to make sure it goes off...
I do ANY maintenance myself that I don't have records for, when I purchase a
For example, on the F-type, I found the underbody braces to be a bit rusty, so I treated them with POR-15. Also, while the fluid pump makes oil changes really easy, I removed 15 pounds of road debris from the engine undertray. (OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a little)
I also found that the little air scoop that cools the alternator was out of place and wasn't doing its job.
I would add replacing brake fluid to your maintenance list BTW. (See the schedule, above: Every 3 years regardless of miles)
The fluid evacuator obviously sucks the oil out of the engine from the "top", yes ?
What do you do about the oil filter ? You still need to go under the car to change that, no ?
But I could've sworn I saw another video of the oil change where they used the drain plug to drain it and they changed the filter from below. Possibly a different engine ? Not the V8 ?
Also, in that same (2nd) video, there was a levered connection nearby that apparently (?) was used to determine the oil level for the onboard computer. Is that not needed for the V8 ?
The oil evac (MityVac in my case) connects to a metal tube under the oil fill cap via a hose that comes with the mityvac kit. The oil filter is serviced under the hood, in the engine compartment (as you've discovered). Also, the only way to check the oil is by selecting the menu-driven steps on the main display and observing the computer-scaled graph.
Not only a different engine, but a different car. The filter is on the top of the I-4 Ingenium, the V6 AJ126 and the V8 AJ133. They can be drained from the bottom; my XE with the I-4 doesn't have the extraction tube like the V6 and V8, so I let a local indy change it for me.
If I can change my own oil so easily I'd be very likely to do it myself - depending on the difference in cost.
Thanks
Here’s the oil change procedure from Jaguar. It shows draining the oil from the bottom, but I believe even dealers vacuum it from the top, as it has a pipe intended for that. Also shows the filter. This applies to V6 and V8.

I think the supercharger belt is also recommended somewhere around 60k. I realized that mine hadn’t been changed - until I looked at the invoice from the dealer for replacing my SC coupler; turns out they changed the SC belt then too.
I took some time to read and understand your post about changing the supercharger fluid and I'm not sure I have your level of tenacity. Getting to the drain/fill plug looks daunting at best and I wonder if I started it, I'd be unable to finish without dropping or losing hardware that was nearly impossible to reach. It seems to me that the engineers dropped the ball here since they could have easily made this more accessible.

Just a general FYI (and not to gloat) but the Ingenium engine in the F-Type P300 has an oil dip stick. Nice.

The minus side of the 2.0 Ingenium (which I have in my XE in the 250HP version) is that it doesn't have the tube for vacuuming the oil out of the fill tube. Otherwise, great engine IMHO. With a dip stick.
