Default Another strange question about Sat radio

I am new to Jags so I probably have some strange questions. 2017 F Type S

It seems to me that some of the Sat radio stations have static. There are a lot of settings I am not familiar with
or dont know how to use but am I nuts or is this something others have experienced and if so any recommendations on settings would
be appreciated.

Never had this problem with Sirius.

Static no. Miserable sound quality? 100% of the time (regardless of the settings). If I do play music it’s either streaming or, yup, a CD.

I was afraid of that. Very sad.
Before this car I was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion with 110000 miles with far superior sound quality to this.
I am starting to question my decision

There is a TSB that will markedly improve the sound in your 2017 assuming it wasn't already applied. However, it won't improve the low fidelity source that is satellite radio. If you're getting static from that source alone something is wrong. Satellite radio doesn't have static. Poor signal just cuts out. You probably have a hardware problem.

Thanks
I hate to sound stupid but what is a TSB. Is it some kind of service notice?
I also have the gas filling problem.

About the car? Please no! My wife’s 2006 BMW 325xi wagon has MUCH better sound quality than my 2015 V6S - and that’s with the 770 watt system - and as much as music is imperative and a constant in my life when it comes to driving the F-Type DRIViNG is what it’s all about. Music drops quickly to the bottom of my list and priorities.

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin.

Strictly speaking, these are not 'recalls'. They are just documentation of common issues and factory recommended solutions. Meant to save diagnostic time (and often, admission that there ARE intermittent issues that may not be repeatable on a service visit).

As stated, the sound system software TSB changes settings that induced rattles. There was also a TSB that isolated components in the doors that rattled when the base/volume was turned up...

I understand your statement and I am sure many agree with you including myself.
I love driving this car. This is the first car I have driven in a long time where I find myself wanting both hands on the wheel instead
of one arm propped up on the door ledge.

That said it seems a little anemic for a car with a six figure price tag to have a marginal radio.

I will praise quality but also criticize poor performance.

I am responding to two people so I hope I dont get my responses crossed up.

Thanks

By the way I like your statement at the end of your response about cats.

We have had the 4 legged ones for years and how true your statement. I guess I now have a 4 wheeled one so its not a problem.
