Default anyway to sync dual zone without using screen button?

Hi.

Does anyone know of a way to sync the dual zones without using the screen? I've tried putting temp to LO & HI, they return to separate temps afterwards. I tried the remote app to set the climate, same thing happens. I'm curious if there is a way?

Cheers.

Hmmmm…..I am having trouble understanding the problem; on the screen you can choose to synchronize the temperature left and right, or not synchronize. But you can always choose the temperatures left and right by simply adjusting the right and left temperature dials on the console - and that takes only a nanosecond. The synchronization command though, is found only on the touchscreen.

Yeah, is a bit of an odd question. But was wondering if there is any way to sync the two zones without using the touchscreen? I'm just curious.

I don’t find the question odd at all. Having to go through a menu touch screen is a PITA. Cars that retail for far, far less have this capability. It seems antiquated to have to go through a menu to reset the temps back to sync.

You make a good case for eliminating or minimizing touch screens for simple functions. I agree completely. Please send your comment to Tesla (especially Tesla), Mercedes, BMW and all the other manufacturers who have unnecessarily complicated the experience of driving, but in point of fact, Jaguar provides redundant controls for many functions so that use of the touch screen can be minimised….hmmm…and on the F-Type at least before they increased the size of the touch screen.

One example: on my 2015 model the climate control can be turned on or off by a simple slight twist of the fan switch. No need to go into the screen at all….very user friendly. Some owners are not even aware of this.

It would seem to me that the move away from hard controls to mostly touch screen is a distinct move toward more distraction from the art of driving.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like it's screen only.

Not to state the obvious, but you can sync (errr, maintain) the same 'balance of climate control' WITHOUT TAKING YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD by turning the individual knobs the same number of 'clicks' hotter or colder...right?

No need to use the screen...
