Default Battery Venting

Question - is the battery vented on a Jaguar F-Type? If so where is the vent? The battery is in the factory location in the boot, but I do not see where it's vented. Can anyone help? Picture would be great. Many thanks - Wayne

Is their a vent in the battery compartment?

Default Question about your 'boot'

I noticed you have sound deadener in your trunk area. Did you notice much/any improvement in sound level? I haven't noticed any noise coming from that area in the MY2017 coupe I have, but always interested in others' experiences.

We are building a competition car audio system in the car. I have not driven the car yet, since it is still under construction. I am hoping all this sound deadening material we are putting in the car will help with all the road noise. More to come.

As already noted, it's the little red elbow by the bottle of tire goo. I just looked at mine and see it connected to a tub that goes down to the floor, then heads towards the rear on the left side of the battery. I'd have to pull panels to see where it ends, but suspect behind the bumper.

Have you check underneath the battery or could have been accidentally tucked on the side hidden between the frame and the battery.

Here's a close-up of the battery vent. As mentioned, positioned on the front-center edge of the AGM battery, with a red right-angle fitting.
