I've been a lurker for a while, but I finally made it happen for myself - picked up a beautiful black V6S 6MT loaded with Premium/Vision pack, Extended leather, Performance seats, Design pack, 19" orbit wheels.
I couldn't believe when it came off the truck yesterday. Buying a manual with all the options you want is somewhat hard to do locally so I had it shipped in from out of state - couldn't have been happier with the process.
By the way, I'm not the biggest fan of grayscale colors - any suggestions on a vinyl wrap? I was definitely considering Firesand Orange and Ultra Blue.
Congratulations and welcome to the jungle, lots of great owner wisdom and a friendly bunch. (just make sure to align your center caps to your valve stems and don't talk about Z06's, then all will be good, LOL)
Thanks!! Lol, my friends are all lusting after the Corvette.. I just can't be enticed without the stick. Also, the car came with no valve stem caps, so going to get some Jaguar ones asap.
I definitely already see the wise nature of the forum, reminds me of the G37 forums (my former ride) before they became awfully dead.
Nice! Happy Birthday, and welcome! I have no input on wrapping, other than maybe go for something unique and not a Jaguar standard color. Somewhere on here a guy did a matte green that was so very nice to look at.

Sage advice, but you left off switching tires to Michelin Pilot 4S immediately. But yes + many on the Z06 juxtaposition......
Congratulations and welcome to the neighborhood. There are getting to be a lot of F Types around the Bay Area.
Gorgeous Car, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Welcome to the 6MT Club! As noted, there were clutch issues with the earlier manuals. If yours hasn't been replaced already, expect you'll have to do it.
If you find yourself turning on the emergency flashers on a quick 4->3 downshift, you might consider picking up a short-shifter from Lance (Unhingd). The throw isn't bad, but it's not great either. He's got a local machine shop that can modify the stock unit to reduce the throw.
Congratulations and happy birthday. Mine was a birthday gift as well that I continue to allow my wife to fictionally believe was her present to me.......

Same here!
I got mine six days before my birthday and it's been a standing joke ever since with SWMBO that it was a gift from her.

Dang, I forgot about that one.
However since I just swapped to MP's myself, I do completely agree, significant improvement but part of that is the wider tire sizes.

interesting because I had numerous issues with the new MPs and a couple replacements so I finally gave up. May try them again if I ever need new rubber but I average about 2k per year on the f-type so it may be a while. Not against Michelin, I’ve owned quite a few sets, but recent experience was horrible and it is exhausting that every thread somehow transitions into a Michelin advertisement - it’s almost like NASCAR drivers mentioning their sponsors regardless of the question.... all that aside, the p-zeros were easily the worst performance fires I ever rode on and I have seen my share of tires. Reminds me of the Flintstones.

Lol, yup we are all getting a kickback from Michelin, just like Ricky Bobby
Thank you guys on the birthday wishes! Shes' currently sporting the P Zeros with 25K on the odo.
I'm aware of the clutch issue, and was actually looking for a '17 due to this but couldn't pass up this beauty. I still have 18 months of warranty so I'll try to get that worked out.
