According to the 2016MY configurator, you can't have either the premium pack or the heated seats (climate pack) on a 6 speed base car if you have the interior / exterior black pack either, which doesn't make any sense (nor can you have either (interior/exterior) black pack without the other which is a new restriction).

I guess once they figure out the pricing for 2016 they will update the configurator and fix whatever needs fixing!

I don't even see order forms for the 2015, but I guess they are not taking any more orders for that model year.

 

I don't believe they were ever available on the V6s.

 

They are available on the '15 V6S and the '16 V6S automatic but not the V6S manual.(per the configurator).
Not available on the base V6 at all.

 

I confirmed with the dealer who confirmed with JLR. Ceramics available on the V6S automatic, but not on the V6S manual.


So the original question still remains: why? Needless to say, the ordering manager at the dealer didn't care enough about the product to ask that question when he was on the phone with JLR.

 

It must be because it is so much slower.

This is horrible...I am being forced into hanging on to $13k of my hard earned money. (pretty stiff price for a 50lb un-sprung weight savings).
