Default Changing Footwell Lights

On the XF forums I read that changing the footwell light is pretty easy, does this apply to the F-Type as well? I hate the yellow halogen lights and they don't fit at all when you have the illuminated strips and ambient lighting.

I checked the footwell and saw the bulb instantly. Is it easy to change it to another one? Can I change it back without problems because it's a leased car? I heard about Ice Blue bulbs that seem to look similiar to the Phosphor Blue ambient light, are these the correct ones:

Thanks in advance.

It's easy to do and to change it back apart from having to contort your body to get the correct angle. It also helps if you have small hands.
Also note that the original bulb will be VERY HOT.

The bulbs in your link are the correct type; the specific color is up to your preference.

You can also replace the puddle lights in the bottom of the doors with this to match.

Yeah same bulb and just as easy to replace, if not easier. You have to take the plastic cover off but the location is much easier to access than in the footwell.

OK, thanks for the Infos.

The only thing I'm not sure of is which lights exactly to buy because they range from 80-240 LM. Do you have any experience which fits the best without being too much?

I never paid attention but I just looked and they are 375 lumens, but I also went with white bulbs.

I figured they're so cheap that if I didn't like them I'd order something else, but they turned out perfect.

I replaced the footwell lights now, looks much better. Although changing the lamp on the passenger side was a pain as you have to push a plastic part up and with big hands it's still a bit difficult to remove the old bulb. However putting the new one in is easy.

I still have two more T10 lamps, do they also fit the door lights? How can I change them, so how can I remove that part from the door?

Yep, they fit and work in the door lights.
The light housings flip out real easy from one end (I forget which end!) with a plastic trim removal tool, then you simply pull the halogen globe out and replace it with a T10 wedge LED.
Better still get yourself a pair of logo projector lights, only around $20 the pair on Fleabay, child's play to replace and they look great!

Thanks, they are pretty easy to remove even without the trim removal tool, I'll also think about the projector lights, they do look pretty great.
