+1. It may be shadows I'm seeing, but is the fabric tight?

Did you open it while wet?

I don't get those. It looks like you put it down when it had something you did not see on it. Clean and start again.

Looks like someone put something on it (to clean? Or recondition?) and it didn't all come off or soak in. I agree it should be cleaned thoroughly with a convertible cloth cleaner (raggtop cleaner, etc). If that works, re-protect (raggtop protector, etc) and then ONLY rinse it thereafter unless you have spots needing cleaning.

Mine is now almost 2 years old, and I have only ever rinsed it (garden hose with spray nozzle). Looks like when new.

Just noticed I have a few of these whiteish marks. Will see if they wash off. Roof needs to be rewaterproofed, which I'll do when the weather is right and I'm not golfing.

I park outside my office and the car gets rained on. I noted that you have to clean and treat rear seal and also clean gunk stuck to plastic lining in the top compartment or you get these marks on your top.

To clean, partially open top then reach past it into compartment and wipe surrounding plastic with a clean wet rag.

I am not a fan of lidless design - both Mercedes SL and C7 have much better "lip over" top designs but they are not as fast to operate.

Use only a soft brush like the one sold by Raggtop. A hard brunch will pull out the threads.

It *could* be mold... Since it looks white, and align with the folds, the roof may have been stored down when wet.

I suggest to test with a very dilute bleach solution in a small not well seen area first.

Just my $0.02...

Hope to wash and reproof my roof this weekend. I'll try to get before/after pix, as I have a few of the white lines.
