Default CTEK Charger - Help with Facelift Car.

Hi guys,

Feels like winter is fastly approaching, certainly here in Scotland anyway and would like to start preparing the car as I have a long work trip coming up

I had a CTEK connected to my V6S, but my MY22 P450 has very different circuit\connectors. Does anyone have a diagram for the facelift car of where to attached the eyelets?

Thanks in advance.

Graeme

Just FYI...you can also use the alligator clips on the CTEK charger and clip to the jump points under the hood.

Can't you just follow the battery leads and find suitable (and similar) equivalent connection points?

In case this type of setup might be of interest to you…This is what I ended up doing for my 2024, mainly because I always have my car plugged in when not driving in order to keep the battery optimal…For this reason I wanted things super convenient…

Mine (an MY21 P450) is wired into the busbar in the boot as per below image. The negative is attached to the honking great earth bolt in the boot - you'll see a thick wire already attached to it

Been wired like that since I bought the car new in 2020.

Do you have any pictures of what earth you used?

My cable is super short and worried this isn't the right place for it? But since the hole is so small (6mm I think) I can't connect it anywhere else. Worried about reconnecting the battery though since it's effectively "earthed" to the same box". Also conscious it's through a painted bracket if that makes a difference??

If you plug the charger in and it seems to work, then you're good to go! If the earth isn't good enough the charger probably won't see a circuit and won't light up.

OK thanks. As long as I won't break anything then since it's effectively the same box.

For future reference for anyone who finds this thread, that earth point seems to be ok for now.
