Default day 4 no car

The new awd r of which I took delivery last Thursday is not being returned as yet. Seems they cannot clear the fault even with a new abs unit and have sought the help of jaguar engineering to read code. I will not be getting this car for another week Im sure- do I want it??????

The dealer commented that the issue is because the awd is new and they haven't encountered this problem yet. If anyone with a new AWD gets a brake warning light be forewarned.

I am so sorry to hear this, and I know it takes the edge off of the experience.

I for one have an issue that hasn't been cleared up, and won't be as JLR has told me in many, many words, sweet and nicely, sappy and crappy......"dude you are out of luck"! It is the rattling of the audio, which works well, when I drive and put my hand over the lower part of the door panel. That way it sounds picture perfect :-(!!!

I hope you get this resolved and once done, that you enjoy your experience in multiples. It is truly a great car, as I have the s type 2015, and other than this and the eco drive problem (shuts off, and flashes the "D", having to shut the engine off and restart at the light), I am happy as all hell with the car.

Good luck, they will sort this out I am sure.

Consider yourself lucky. At least you got your car already. The dealer is right, it's a new car and service bulletins haven't been written yet for technicians to reference. You're probably the first one with this issue, sometimes it take an engineer to figure out.

I just use the accelerator. No need for brakes.

Just kidding. I hope they get this resolved quickly so when mine does get the problem they know how to fix it!

There is always a ton of ups and a few downs being the first person in town to get a brand new model car with updated features.

Don't freak out early adopters are always the guinnea pigs. They use you to identify problems and devise fixes. At least dealer has reached out to Jag, they will figure it out.I spent a year with a '14 Maserati Ghibli getting all the kinks out to the benefit of '15 buyers!

Very frustrating, I'm sure.

Have to say, (having looked at the diagram/workings of the electric parking brake that was posted the other day) it sure is a complex replacement for a cable, spring and shoe.

I am stunned by the complexity of my car as well. Jaguar's engineers are diabolical. It adds to the character of the car as well as being a character builder for the owner.
