Default Drag Time F-Type Stats

I got an email today saying they had the stats for a 2014 XK-R S, and low and behold they had bunch for the F-Type S as well both with and without the Euro tune mod (which doesn't seem to help that much).

Of course now I'm going to be hunting XK-R Ss too.

Given how well my old XK-R unmodified did, I'm thinking my modified XK-R might do pretty well here too.

Here is a new AM Vantage V12 for comparison:

The car compare tool is fun here is a broad comparison:

Thanks for the info. I'm going to try to make it to Sacramento Raceway to get a run or two in soon. Did a run in my old 991, forgot to put it in sport mode, doh!!! Won't forget to put it in dynamic mode this time. Still trying to figure out if the Coupe R have launch mode. Read they don't. Haven't really tried it on the streets yet.

If the R has launch control, I've been unable to get it to work. Following the instructions, all I get is a burnout :-)

Default Launch control

As I have been following the F-Type since it's inception, the V6 and V6S models are the ONLY models that have a dedicated launch control.

Interesting, the manual needs an update! Question, have you heard of any diff between TracDSC and regular DSC? Wonder if Track DSC gives you any more launch vs regular DSC?

Sales guy at BMC told me my V8 has launch control. I've not tested it yet but he said you just hold the brake and accelerator and it'll light up to let you know launch is active. I should test it...

I have not been able to get it to work in the v8s. Book says only in dynamic mode, wheel straight, in drive... but no launch enabled for me
