F-Type Coupe Speaker Upgrades
It was 4 years ago so I don't remember exactly but I guarantee it wasn't a router. I hate those things. My SOP is to Blue tape and describe the cut with a Sharpy. I probably made the primary cut with a cordless jig saw with a very fine tooth blade then crept up on the final cut with a bench drum sander. At least that's how I would do it if I had to again.
I'm not sure why the factory subs are DVC. I suspect it has to do with the Jag amp's impedance target. I do know that Andy specifically designed the GS8ND2's to be flexible in their application. You could use them as a mid bass driver in the doors at 4 Ohms or as a sub at 1 Ohm. I have mine set up in series at 4 Ohms and being driven by the AudioFrog AD150.4D bridged. I have the DSP setup to be using the original door mid bass signal and the output to be 70HZ-110HZ and gained pretty low. It was mostly an exercise to see if I could make the stock locations sound good at all.
