Default F Type "R" competition Seats

The Only negative reviews I have seen are the Competition seats being too hard. I have driven a few "R"'s before ordering one and have to agree. The dealer called Jaguar to ask if there was a break-in period there answer was NO. I called a Dr. who has a "S" coupe with the COMP. seats and told me he limits himself to around one hour driving time or he hurts. This man is 35yrs.old and tells me he is in excellent shape.
Anyone out there with these seats I would appreciate your feed back. My order will stand no matter what. If this car makes me uncomfortable than it will be sold. Thanks.

Seat comfort is very subjective--- I find my R coupe seats to be great, even during longer drives.

By competition seats I assume you mean the ones that are also standard in the R.. mine are very comfortable and I have a bad back that acts up when I'm driving.. except not in this car.

While they look better when you see them than in the configurator, they still look like what you'd get if you told a maker of overstuffed leather armchairs about a Motorsport seat.

Maybe try the seats that aren't trying quite so hard to see if you find them not quite so hard...

I daily drive my Type R (about 1.5hrs/day) and find the seats to be very comfortable.

I agree. I drive mine almost daily basis and have no issues with the seats that are standard with the R. However seats can be subjective and based on body habitus.

The R seats are firmer than my old seats but I don't consider them uncomfortable. Just firmer.

I find the F-Type sport seats more comfortable than the seats on the BMW 550i (F10) I owned. The BMW seats were more adjustable, but I find the F-Type offers much better support.

Just completed a 2-day road trip in the F-Type with zero back or bottom issues
...and I have the firmer V6 suspension!

I have back issues and drive a V8S daily.

I also delivered a client purchase for 3 1/2 hours non-stop without a problem.
