F-Type Value
I've decided to sell my F-type, my question is I've gotten a price from a sell site, but it doesn't take in to account some of the mods, which may or may not add value. Mods I have include VAP brake and rotor upgrade, VAP exhaust, 21" upgraded wheels, to name a few. How would you value these things? I have one year left on the warranty, and about to get my last free oil change. Thanks in advance.

Cost of mods is generally a write-off when selling, unless you find the right buyer. That is, a buyer who wants the specific mods you've added. A modded car might even sell for less, since there's an implied "hard use" cloud that hangs over it.
Good luck getting whatever you can but if you go in with the expectation that they'll add nothing, you won't be bitterly disappointed.

The mods don't add value. Putting the stock wheel on and selling the aftermarket wheels independently will net you more money. The rotors are a cmplet write off. The exhaust may net a few extra dollars to the right buyer, but that's much like the wheels.
Thanks. The MSRP of my car with the wheels from the dealer was marked up because of the wheels. I bought used (second owner) and didn't pay the increase, was just wondering. The VAP upgrades, I did because I enjoyed them, but thanks for the great information.
Valuation is a challenge, even when stock. I am being offered just over $20K on my recently totaled 2016 V6S that had no modifications but had almost every option available. There is ONE manual listed that I could find...NATIONWIDE!

I agree with the comments here. Mods do not add value and, more often than not, subtract from value of the same MY stock.
I've modded cars all my life. I've learned after a while, that if I want the best resale price, remove the mods, bring the car back to as close to stock that I can, then sell the mods separately. It does require a lot more work, keeping original equipment and storing it. As an example, recently I've changed wheels on my car. Original stock wheels are in storage for the change back some day.
In general, most people don't see the same value in mods that you do; and often, prefer to do their own mods.

Owned over 50 cars and modded more than half. Usually mods give you ZERO and sometimes hurts your resale. Always wise to bring back to stock if possible and NEVER mention mods. In the RARE occasion you can find someone wanting that spec modded car, it may work out but rare.
