Fault codes: P0089-64 and P0173-00
My jaguar f type 2015 v6 S AWD has yellow motor light on for many months/years, but drives totally normally. Sometimes after fueling it has dissapeared before, but it has not gone away for 4-5 months now.
Yesterday I did full service and diagnostics said 2 fault codes:
1) P0089-64: Fuel Pressure Regulator Performance
CHATGPT: Meaning: This code is related to the fuel system. Specifically, it indicates that the fuel pressure regulator performance is not within the expected range. The "64" part usually refers to a specific issue within the system, such as a performance fault or a malfunctioning component.
2) P0173_00: Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 2)
CHATGPT: Meaning: This code refers to a fuel trim issue, specifically on Bank 2 (which is usually the side of the engine with cylinders 4, 5, 6 on a V6 engine). Fuel trim refers to how the engine control unit (ECU) adjusts the air-fuel mixture. A malfunction here can lead to poor fuel efficiency, rough idle, or increased emissions.
Has anybody had similar codes and whats the possible issue. The service told me that they don't exactly know whats wrong and theres no real point changing everything. I also changed spark plugs, ignition coils. They deleted the code but it came back immediately. Car drives normally in my opinion, no smell, no smoke.

Did you take a picture of the spark plugs you removed? Would be interesting to see if there is any difference in appearance.
Injector failure is common, hence JLR extended the warranty in the USA and Canada.
A leaking injector would have made the 'bad' side look 'rich'. The electronics may be trying to compensate...and initiating the yellow warning.

Dump the garbage AI.

Why would you drive for years with a check engine light on?

Perhaps CarBuff is referring to the extended warranty on O2 sensors? Interestingly, both of these codes override the usual P0430 O2 error. That’s probably where I’d start, and the fact that the O2 sensors have a 15-year warranty on the V6 helps.
Here’s the JLR OBD2 guide.

I’ve driving becouse nobody (average sevices) could not tell me whats wrong and told me to just drive the car since nothing is exactly wrong with driving it. The official dealer is far away.
I live in Europe.
As I understand the most probable couse to start is to change the 02 sensor? And theres no warranty in Europe, right?
