Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and a new F-type owner as of September. I found a beautiful 2014 F-Type S convertible. I've always been a Porsche guy and have but decided to try something new! I've been loving it (prior to storing it for the winter here in Maine).
I just wanted to take a minute to say hello!

Thanks! I didn't know that! Although a total gear head, i have to admit i am a total newbie to the Jaguar world. I like the all original look, so i might see if they can come off clean.
The yellow brake calipers aren't factory either, someone has painted or powder coated them, only the CCM brakes came yellow from the factory. Says he who also painted his (iron brakes) calipers yellow!
Former (and current Porsche guy here as well - 911 TT, Boxster S, Cayenne S). I drove up to Chicago to "look" and "hear" the F-Type R - AWD @ a Jag dealer. Took my wife up in the 997 TT so we could look, then eat dinner in Chi-Town on the way home....Umm...She had to drive one of them back, because after hearing and driving it, I felt like I really "needed it"
Gorgeous car! Welcome to group. I'm a newbie myself. Just picked up a 2016 V6S AWD. Up until recently, I've always wanted a 911 but after looking into the F Type, this car makes more sense for me. I'm not an all out racer but I do like it to go fast. I like luxury but simple. Some thing unique but not exclusive (meaning...$$$$ to repair). This car hit the mark in all areas.

Those add-on badges spoil the look of the car...the good news is that they are simply attached with 3M tape so a little heat from a hair dryer and a piece of dental floss will loosen the badge. Any residue left will polish off easily. My comment about the beautiful colour was, admittedly, self-serving since mine is also in BRG (Xirallic formulation) but with the darker Brogue interior.
Be prepared for the attention your car will get! It is an integral and consistent part of Jaguar ownership.😊
You also need to perfect your automatic glance back at the Jaguar after you park it...this too is an unavoidable part of Jaguar ownership. You simply can't help doing it.
Welcome, and enjoy. The yellow calipers nicely offset the BRG and black wheels. I have the same wheels in silver; the black wheels will hide the copious brake dust a little better.
With the extra badges on the fenders, did the previous owner make any changes to the rear badging?

Here is the rear- you tell me (I have no idea what was stock now )
he also had a Race Chip GTS Black on it for about a month, which i will be selling.

They seem to be fun cars, so far...
Welcome to the group.

Therock88,
I know what you mean! The sound is great, and obviously the drive is nothing like the porsche's ive had either (964 cab, 996 coupe, 996C4 cab, boxster, cayenne S)

👌 - And on the rear....It looks correct from badging perspective.

The rear looks normal for an S. Note that if you drive fast in Maine, your friends may get you drogue chute to slow you down. Taken at Scarborough Jag - good people. I service my cars there as the local dealer in MA pissed me off too many times.

Hey, I resemble that remark!
Congratulations to the OP (hello Anthony) on a beautiful ride. DJS is quite correct in that I, and others, consider Jaguar Land Rover Scarborough one of the best in the business. IMO, they are THE best and I’ve been long-time friends with all of the people there for the 6 1/2 year’s I’ve owned mine. Great people, all!
Separately, there seems to be a trend with astute purchasers of an F-Type continuing in Maine. If that continues—and, as the saying goes, “the trend is your friend”—future events (not that there will be future events) will consist of ONLY Maine-owned F-Types. Sorry gentlemen.
