"We as a staff have turned the “F-Type versus Porsche 911” question over in our heads a few times, and some would take the Jag over the German without hesitation. The 911 is the better track car, but ultimately on the road some find the Jag to be more fun."

As someone who came from a new generation 911 (991), I can tell you this is 100% spot on. Frankly, after less than 6 months I was bored w/ the Porsche. After more 6 months w/ the F-Type I still look forward to driving it every weekend. Granted, I didn't have a crazy top of the line 911 like a GT3 or Turbo S....

Which is why I plan to keep this car for a long time (forever?) even if I purchase another car in the future. It has everything I love: beautiful, lots of horses, rear wheel drive, hydraulic steering, I could go on and on!

It's a keeper and I enjoy it more than any other car I have ever owned!

I feel the same way. I actually enjoy it more than any other car I've owned too.

When I read this article it reminded me how thrilled I was when I first got my car. As a group I think we worry too much about Porsche, Audi etc and various driver opinions. The truth is, this car is beautiful and a lot fun to drive. What more do you want? I had a guy follow me to my friends place yesterday just to tell me how beautiful my car was. That's a nice feeling.

I can certainly say it ranks higher on style points than any other car I've owned.

+1 to all these comments. The F Type has a rare appeal to so many people. I've recently joined a super car club, and every single member has complimented the car and commented that it is one of the most visually and aurally appealing cars in the club. That feels nice, I have to admit.

But not quite as nice, you have to admit, to driving it.

Yes, the F-Type is a very special car; I would add, in all configurations.

My family calls my vice "the car of the month club", or when the oil needs to be changed they say...."uh ohhhh, dad has to get a new car now". :-).

Seriously, had this car for <1 month now, and every time I get into it, and go I cease to be amazed at the quality, engineering, fun, speed, handling, etc. etc.

I think this is a keeper for sure, for how long who knows, but a long long time. As BB king sang....."until the thrill is gone", which i think will have a low probability of happening with this beauty.

One of my favorite cars, at least top 3 when allowing for the performance of any given period. Will probably keep till end of warranty unless compelling reason to change,ie. big upgrades or styling changes. Really liked '84 300zx Turbo, '05 TT 3.2 roadster , and my first new car '71 1st gen. 240Z. Second tier starts with '12 SLK55, '91 300z and 1st car '59 TR3A. Merc, BMW, and Audi have a ways to go with their sports cars to catch Jag!
