Default Issues with convertible top

Like an idiot I had my 2014 vert in the garage stored with the top down. I haven't used it for about a month, and i go to take it out and i have a sprinkling of mold on the seats, due to the humidity here in MS. Anyway i try to raise the top, the windows go part the way down, the flaps come up, then it just stops. I checked the three fuses connected with the top, and all are good. Windows work by themselves, as does everything else, except the center vent stack which is now "lazy". I checked the top, and it appears that the top down lock has not released, as i can't lift the front of the top.
Anybody got any ideas on how to troubleshoot ?
Car has 11000 miles and is a 2014
Thanks in advance

Battery! As the car has not been used recently, the battery voltage will have dropped ( unless you wisely had a CTEK or similar battery maintainer installed). Even a slight drop in battery voltage can and does lead to issues such as you describe.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately, that was my first thought, so last night I charged the battery, and even disconnected it (in case it was computer rellated), but when I reconnected, no joy. I have even tried with the engine running. It is as if a fuse has blown, but I checked the 3 related, power top, down latch, and header latch, but all are good.

Did you try to perform the manual closing procedure with the supplied tools? If you close it manually it may free something up like a motor jam or malfunctioning limit switch.

If you do manage to get the top at least half way up check the drain holes to see if they are clogged and if there is any evidence of pooling water in the well the top is stored. A few people have had the top motor/limit switches damaged when the drain holes got plugged and the electronics got submersed.

Thanks for the reply. I have not tried raising it manually, as the process involves undoing some bolts, and removing part of the header latch. According to the manual, once it has been raised manually, you should not try to operate it again until it has been serviced by a dealer.
I will use that as a last resort in case I need to take it to a shop.
As far as water egress, it was stored inside, so I don,t think that's it. I'm pretty sure that is something to do with the humidity, as it has been faultless for years.
Are there only 3 fuses that pertain to the top?

Don't know about the fuses. I sure somebody will chime in who does.

Did some more reading, and apparently it has happened to others, and is caused by a bad connection to the top down lock sensor. Anyone know where I can find the location of that sensor?
Oh and apparently once the top opening routine has started ie the flaps have raised, it is no longer possible to raise the top manually, as the nut you need to access has apparently rotated out of the access hole.....brilliant design!

Update.....roof is now closed!😁.....I took all of the panels out of the trunk, tightened every connection I could see, and disconnected/ reconnected evey plug I could find, then removed and cleaned the neg battery terminal.
As soon as I started the car I got the " roof not latched" message on the dash, so whatever I did re-established connection with the sensor. Boy am I glad......frightened to put it down again now tho...☹
