Default Jaguar Time?

Since the time displayed in the gauge display and the time displayed in the center display are an hour different do I average the two to compute Jaguar time?
Or does the dicrepancy have something to do with the fact my navigation function is dysfunctional?

I've never seen the two times differ on mine. I think if you're traveling north/south you'd average them, while east/west you're actually traveling through time.

Cool. I think I'll head west until I get back to 2019.
I dare not proceed any farther east as my GPS shows me about 1/2 mile off the coast.

Could one display be showing the summer time offset? See if they still differ after the clocks change.

In all seriousness, when our '14 is set via the SETTINGS screen on the radio/nav screen, both that screen and the info display between the gauges is the same.

Our car clocks do not automatically adjust for Daylight Savings. But if your '18 does (via the navigation's GPS system) your dysfunctional display might have something to do with the discrepancy.

So now its a time machine too!! Certainly cooler looking than what Rod Taylor was in for the movie made about the HG Wells book and better looking than the DeLorean in Back to the Future.

The only time I've noticed a discrepancy between displays is with temperature, not time - the infotainment screen is always 1 degree off (can't remember if higher or lower) from the temperature displayed on the climate control dials.

I have noticed a discrepancy between the date formats on my '18. The date format for last map update on the navigation screen is in European format but the date on the instrument cluster is not.

I like the date mine defaulted to when I did a battery disconnect. Seems optimistic... 1/1/2121.

Hmmm, my guess is that the ghost of Sir William Lucas is lurking in your timepieces. Just remember his advice to the Coventry workers, "be home before dark."

Haha! If it had been the ghost of Lucas, my understanding is that at least one of the clocks would not be working at all.

Yes, but even that one would be correct at least once or twice a day.

Update on the time differential:
Today I ventured out to the grocery and lo and behold the two clocks were in sync again.
Additionally, the navigation system, which has been malfunctioning since before the change over to DST was once again showing my proper location. I have done nothing to attempt to rectify either condition since I have a service appt. coming up in three weeks and would rather the dealer address these oddities, so I don't know what changed???
However, every time something like this happens it makes me wonder about depending on such systems to actually control self-driving vehicles or other life and death activities.

Mystery solved, sounds like an issue with one clock being on the North America DST configuration and the other being on the European one. The European switch happened on this past Sunday, while the North America one was three weeks prior.

Was your comment meant as sarcasm?
This is the third year of ownership and the times have never been out of sync, nor has the navigation systems gone on the fritz and mysteriously began working again--at the same time as the clocks realigned.

Not at all, sorry if it came across that way...
Maybe a software update was applied in the past year and it has an incorrect region setting? When the clocks went out of sync, which one had the correct time?

It must be so cool arriving at your destination before you set off ;-)

Sounds like a GMT/DST setting needs to be adjusted in the SETTINGS menu.
