Question Mode Selection Switch & Center Buttons Dead

Hello,

I was recently doing some work on my '14 F-Type interior, it had suffered from the sticky dash issue, but I can proudly say that all sticky components have been cleaned now. However, when I did the center console shift surround, I had removed it from the car and disassembled the buttons down for a thorough cleaning and when I put it back I noticed the drive selection toggle switch (for choosing dynamic or snow/rain mode) do not light up and does not engage either mode, and the four center buttons (active exhaust, spoiler control, ECO mode, traction control) do light up but do not do anything if pressed. The rest of the buttons and then shifter on the center console work perfectly and light up.

I have since re-checked the wiring and I am sure I have it right, the buttons for active exhaust & traction control are green and the socket is green, the buttons for ECO mode and spoiler control are blue and the socket is blue. And the mode control socket is pretty easily distinguished from the rest.

I removed the battery for a few seconds to see if a restart would help but it still behaves the same. Could it be a blown fuse? Would anyone know which fuse I should check? Or maybe someone has a better sense of where the problem lies? Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Sean

Ammonia, it works great to get the sticky layer off but keep the labels intact.

Got this resolved, it was just a fuse in the driver's side foot-well had blown for future reference.

Default Which fuse was blown?

I have the same issue as well after replacing the buttons. The drive control toggle does not light up or work. The other center switches all light up but does not work as well.

Which fuse was blown for you? I tried replacing F13 - JaguarDrive control switch but that did not do anything for me.

The OP has not been on the Forum for 5 years....

I suggest inspecting/reseating ALL the fuses in the drivers side footwell. "Ounce of prevention"
