Jim- Happy to share the fun I had, it has really got me thinking about how I can swing the purchase. Maybe in a couple of years?

Hey Guys - I finally have my F-Type 3 day toy this weekend. So Far I have put about 200 miles on it, including two trips up and down Mulholland. Wow what a sport car!! Jaguar delivered my red convertible F-Type V8S with approximately 1400 miles on the odometer Friday morning. immediately went out for a short drive which ended up being about 2.5 hours long up the PCH from Pacific Palisades to Point Zuma and then over to Mullholland which thankfully had little traffic. Result, got to wring the car out a little and found that it is extremely responsive with power to spare. It is tight and sounds really terrific. When you hit the exhaust button the car almost sounds like a WWII warbird being run-up prior to take off.

As for the interior comfort accoutrements. It is stiffer than an XK, but with a great seating position and is a joy to drive with both the top up and down. It handles like a dream and makes for a great weekend vehicle. Thanks to Jaguar for the opportunity to experience the F-Type - What fun!!!!! I'm not going to be very pleased to return to them tomorrow. The whole experience from the FWD intro to weekend experience has been such a delight that I am ready to it again whenever Jaguar is looking for volunteers. Thank you again Jaguar.

Well I'm back in my 12 XK vert today; and I must say that if feels frightfully tame and old fashioned against F-Type S that I had over the weekend. I was sorry to see it go. I think if and when I am ready to add a toy to the stable it will in all likelihood by an F-Type S. Great sports car and the sounds are really way of this world.

Hi Ralph,
That little "sound button" is awfully addicting, isn't it? I found the F-type V-8S a blast to drive although I thought it was slightly more compliant than my XKR, rather than stiffer. There is a lot to like about it and a few things to quibble about, but what a fun sports car!
