Because the F is my wife's car, she gets to order anything that doesn't make it noticeably slower...

Ooh, tempting.

Lucky for me, I'm not OCD about it. I am more OCD about a clean car.

Was out picking up some rive through wine today, had a chance to take some pictures.

Hard to see her go but the new car is in and I need to make space.

I think Jaguar paint was inspired by chameleons!

It has green flakes in there, like getting to a Black cat only to see silver grey gold and green depending on the light.

Can you post a pic? I can imagine what the non-LED caps look like floating, but curious about the glowing ones. That means part of the center cap must be transparent plastic?

Correct.

We took a video soon after install, but frankly, they are noticeable but not THAT bright. The website posted previously has pictures of them glowing on various cars...scroll to the bottom.

I recall seeing an online advert for a lovely blue XKR which turned out to be emerald green! They make great robbers' getaway cars as the witnesses will argue forever over the color!

Back to the centre caps...spent an unsettled night when I read the post about the “proper” position for the growlers chin on the centre caps.
The social correctness thing is causing lots of angst for many. I thought I was immune...but, gee, what if my growler chins weren’t correctly located on my wheels.....would I be able to stay on the forum ? All kinds of frightening consequences played out in my mind.
So..first thing in the AM got my little wheeled stool out, skinny screw driver....whew..one was properly located...quickly re-positioned the other three. Sat back and let the relief flow over me.
But wait...then I see there are back lit centre bits.....now, what a dilemma.
Clearly, to be on the cutting edge...need some of those puppies.

Then, checking tire pressures couple of days later...still haven’t fully committed to the “lit” ones...I note to my dismay 2 of the centre pieces have rotated away from the correct position....are mine defective ? Did I screw up “fixing” them?

Fortunately I discovered this at about 4 PM.....there was a ready solution at hand. That solution naturally was...get into the wine.

Problem solved. @#%k the growlers.

Just remove the center caps. That way the car is track ready at a moment’s notice.

It's even worse than that, those OEM centre caps have gotta weigh twice as much as the cheap Chinese ones I have on at the moment, even allowing for two rounds of insulation tape around the tabs!

How does the car even get out of its own way?

I've not posted on here for quite some time but thought you'd like a couple of pics to brighten your day.

All comments on hideous decals, wonky application and 'ooooh, nooooo's ' always warmly received. )

I present to you, here in the F-Type picture thread, a not really an F-Type and a definitely not an F-Type! (I wonder where else I should have posted them?)

I'm not sure if the green one is my favourite or now?

I would NEVER do that...

Tell us more about that sleeper Fiat Abarth in the first pic, please!

Yeah, nothing wrong with over-the-top decals on over-the-top cars. Love it!

I think both of the cars look really sharp with the decals.
I like things that pop.
