Default Please get me to "Vehicle Information" screen

Please guide a newbie. I've tried over and over but can't get there. I have a 2016 base F Type. Youtube instructions say drive the car 15 min, let it cool 10-15 min, close door, push start without starting the car, push Menu/OK on steering wheel and that should pull up two bar charts, push again to get to vehicle information, tire pressure, oil level, etc. However when I do the first push on the Menu/OK button, I don't even get the two bar graphs showing engine temperature and fuel gauge. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

OK NEVER MIND. The bar graphs were there, just shaped differently. Also the instructions said press Menu/OK twice. Actually it gets pressed ONCE, then press UP arrow on steering wheel. So I found it.

Pics, or it didn't happen.

I'd like to see your TPMS data screen. Even though my '14 is supposed to have TPMS (and it does, judging by the style of tire valve) I have never been able to pull up any tire pressure readings.

A Youtube video shows an owner with a 2014 F Type accessing the screen...but he says push twice on the Menu/OK button on the steering wheel but on mine (2016) it was 1 push then 1 up arrow push to get there.

Thanks, but when I select the Vehicle Information screen as shown, my first menu is Oil Level (not the two tire (tyre) pressure items).

Perhaps I need to wait the 10 - 15 minutes as I do for oil pressure. (I can be REALLY impatient, which is why I drive such a powerful car, LOL)

After a single press of the Menu button I can arrow up/down between Vehicle Settings, Vehicle Info, Trip, Display. OIl and TPMS is on the Vehicle Info screen.

I bet you spell 'tire' with a 'y', though. Might be model year or a market variation. I'll see in the morning...torrential rainstorms here preclude driving the car tonight, for me.

Not when I'm exhausted, but I do when it refers to the round rubber things. We know how to spell in the UK ...

That's because the 2014 doesn't display tire pressure, only pressure warnings.

That is my understanding also. Now the next question is on a ‘14 what is the base case? On my MY12 Benz, I get actual readings and can re-set the base case.

Default Oil Level Not Available

Hi and thanks for reading.

I was finally able to get to the vehicle info screen and as i was scrolling through I noticed the oil level screen indicated Oil Level Not Available.

Please any thoughts why and what could be causing this?

You haven't performed all the 'prerequisites'.

Either check the oil BEFORE you turn on the engine,

\OR

Wait 10 - 15 minutes before trying to look at the oil indicator.

Post back if you still can't get it.

Or pop the hood, select oil level and push can twice in succession.

If I am 'off on a journey', I find it easier to check the oil level before I embark, right from the driver's seat, than to get in, pop the bonnet, check the oil, and then get out again to close the bonnet.

Granted, with the bonnet open you get a more accurate indication I suppose. But the Q&E (quick & easy) way is adequate IMO.
