Just coming back to his thread. Has anyone successfully installed a grill mounted radar on a '17 or later F-Type? I tried several windshield mounts on my '17 without luck. Now looking at a '21 and would like some protections from the local Gendarmes.
This is an install I did on my XE, 2 Laser units and a detector from ALP, the best in the business. A bit expensive, but the way I drive it paid for itself in a year. You don't have to buy the laser jammers if you feel uncomfortable having them in your car. https://www.alpriorityusa.com/

This location on my 2020 works with my V1, I have a V1G2 on order that I'm waiting for.

I'm going with the ALP for laser protection, did you use any TX sensors, and did you have any tail protection installed?
They did not have the TX Sensors four years ago when I did this. I would have used 'em if they were there back then. But I can tell you I've blown by Austin PD when they had their laser guns firing right at me, and they did not get a read (the laser signals were strong.). So I'm very happy with how well these work.
Of course, officially they are just parking sensors, which they do well.
One of the best things about the ALP is the constant updates they make to improve discretion against all the new radar "Dirt" on the road with self driving cars and such. Nice feature that....pull the update from the Net and plug in the usb stick to your ALP dongle...all done.
My original plan was to install the front detectors first, and the rear sensors later (both radar and laser). After four years of use I've not missed having them back there at all, so I'll just stick with the fronts. (2 laser, 1 radar). I do keep an eye on my rear view more than most drivers.
In the family Jeep I run a Valentine 1, Gen. 2 and have never had a rear bogey worth paying attention to...
