Default Rock Chips Anyone?

2,900 miles and got my second rock chip while driving home on the highway tonight. Got my first one several months ago and the same morning got it "injected" to prevent spreading. [Neither directly in line-of-sight]. Will do the same either tomorrow, if possible, or Monday if necessary.

You?

P.S. After 7 months of ownership finally spotted my first F-Type (2016 "R") in town, parked in front of an upscale - what else? - hotel. Nice!

Jay, call your insurance company tonight. They probably have a deal going with Safelite and will send a repair technician to your home or office tomorrow morning (free to you). A lot easier than waiting in-line at the shop.

I'm losing it man! I went outside to get the insurance card and call in a claim as Lance suggested and upon closer inspection - followed by cleaning the windshield - lo and behold, no rock chip.

I have a good mind to remove myself from this Forum and never post again!!! (No, not a bad day at all, just frustrating between this and the unannounced shut-down, likely due to my mistakenly thinking the car shut down while in ECO....George is getting upset!).

Don't sweat it, Jay. I can't even keep the difference between 55 and 65 percent straight. Getting old isn't for wussies!

Senior moments are such fun. Was looking for my phone while I was on it!

Nah, that's not it. I live under the adage that age is merely a number and, trite as it sounds, you're as young as you feel (and act). And I neither look, feel, or even remotely act like my age at 58.

That said, what hit my windshield last night certainly looked like a chip. Needless to say the lack of one makes my life a little easier this morning.

Love being on this Mercedes Benz Forum, thank you guys.
