So long, folks!
Just wanted to say a quick thanks to the folks that lent a hand as I dipped my toe into Jaguar ownership. While it was certainly not a good experience for me, it was an eye-opening one and one that actually helped me to recalibrate what is important to me. I have thankfully sold my F-type and can't wait to see it hauled away on a tow truck for the last time.
I'll be selling some nice SSR wheels and Continental tires at some point soon if anyone has any interest.
Good luck, have fun, drive safely!

Just a maintenance nightmare. Continually (I know people claim that replacing the entire cooling system is "preventative maintenance" but that seems crazy to me). It stranded me twice on long drives and I lost all confidence in taking the car on trips which was the main reason for buying it. I spent about $10,000 in maintenance in 2 years. I simply can't justify the maintenance costs on a car that really isn't worth much at the end of the day. I should have bailed sooner.

sorry to hear that. All cars have some sort of issues associated with them (ie bmw’s and their plastic water pump impellers, Porsche with IMS, etc). I do see replacing the coolant pipes as an upgrade and preventative so the known issue is now resolved. We just had 15+ FTypes on the tail of the dragon this past weekend and we all ran flawlessly. I’m sure most of us pushed the car at least 80+% of what the car could do. Hopefully what you experienced is an outlier.
It drives great, sounds great and was super fun. Like I said I am glad I did it, the juice just isn't worth the squeeze for me.
I am certainly not trying to suggest that every one of these cars is going to need as much maintenance as I have, though I would not be surprised at all. I think the real deal is I don't have the right attitude to own a car like this. I was expecting to have a few issues as I had read through the known problems, I just did not realize I would have EVERY known problem. I don't consider coolant pipes to be a 50,000 mile wear item. I don't think all the injectors should fail in that time frame either. I had problems with 2 brand new mufflers. I had to replace the AC compressor twice - once the valve failed and the second was bad out of the box and then, two years later the problem is back. The fact that the battery simply can't keep the car powered without having a charger on it all the time is a problem. Once it becomes a chore to own it, I don't have much interest.

Regardless, all the best in your new truck life.
How many miles were on the car when ya got it? How much did you know about the history of the car?
Who cares? It's no longer my problem.
Apologies.
I did not know the history. Bought it used from Carvana. Took it to a dealer and Indy for ppi, both signed off. Car was maintained by Jag prior to my ownership as far as I could find out. It had all the recommended services performed more or less on time per the dealer. I bought it with 43,000 miles. It has 54,000 now.
Apologies.

Sorry to read your ownership was so disappointing, $10,000 for 10k miles.UGH , You made a good effort but it wasn't meant to be. If it wasn't for this forum, my coolant pipes wouldn't have been replaced, the " lifetime " super charger oil would still be in there, I wouldn't know that I do have the 4th G clutch, that the extractor version of an oil change is quick & easy and that by tightening the bolts on the hood latches, I FINALLY prevailed over the 2 year rattle in the right front. My 2017 has behaved well, and I hope to keep him for many more years. His stablemate is a 69 E type, who is getting crotchety and demanding, a bad role model! Best wishes and hope your new truck works out for all you need to do.
